FASU, through Mekelle University and Universities Sports Association of Ethiopia (USAE), shall hosted the 9th All Africa University Games in the City of Mekelle, Ethiopia. The General program to ran from 1st - 8th July 2018, but actual competition running for 5 days from 2nd – 6th.
Eligibility: Competing athletes were registered students of that particular university aged at least 17 and less than 28 years of age on January 1st in the year of the event (24yrs for Basketball and25yrs Soccer/football). The games program includes Athletics, Badminton, 3x3 Basketball, Basketball, Chess, Football, Volleyball, Handball, Table Tennis and Tennis.
