The 16th Inter University Games were hosted by Busoga University at their Main campus in Iganga. These games marked the turning point for AUUS by embracing online accreditation of participants.
Athletes who are pursuing at least a full time recognised one year academic course, competed in 18 sports disciplines including; Athletics, Badminton, Basketball, Beach soccer, Chess, Darts, Handball, Karate, Netball, Rugby, Scrabble, Soccer, Swimming, Table tennis, Tennis, Volleyball and Woodball.
